SCOTTISH CONFERENCE
Great news for all of you North of the Border! We are holding
an ear care day especially for you, on August 19th 2008
at the Reid Macewen Training & Conference Centre, near
Glasgow. It's a basic day, covering the topics you need
in order to provide an holistic ear care service for your
patients. It isn't necessary to have completed any of our
training in order to attend – if you need to know
about ears – come along!
In the first instance please register your interest with
Penny Dines at the training centre on 0141 8144534. If you
know anyone who is carrying out ear care but has not received
any formal training, or anyone who needs to update, please
draw their attention to this very useful day. Click below
to download the programme.

HEALTHCARE ASSISTANTS' COURSE
Last year we introduced our latest course - a 2-day course
for Healthcare Assistants and Assistant Practitioners which
includes irrigation. This course is recommended by the
RCN and is a requirement of MDU membership for HCAs and
APs. It has proved to be extremely popular. Some of our
trainers will be presenting this Course later this year – so
watch this space. Check our Training page for the programmes
and flier.
HEALTHCARE ASSISTANTS' UPDATE DAY
On Friday 17th October we are holding an Update day for HCAs
who have attended our course. Everyone who attends the
Course is required to update at least every two years,
so we are inviting those of you who attended a year or
more ago to come along to this event, which will be held
here in Rotherham, and which includes a practical revision
session. Click below to download the programme and application
form.
