Some of the Team with Andrew Castle and our National Training Award

In addition to clinical work, research and writing articles, our nurses also teach ear care to nurses, audiologists, healthcare assistants and other health professionals. Some of the training takes place here in Rotherham, but we do take our training 'on the road', where appropriate. If you would like a course brought to you, please contact us. All our trainers, whether in-house or licensed, must be hands-on practitioners.
Below you will find brief details of the courses we provide, all of which are 'Quality Assured' by Sheffield University. 'Learning Beyond Registration' (what used to be known as 'Continuing Professional Development') money is available - please contact your local LBR lead or, for those of you who live in South Yorkshire, look at Sheffield University's website.

Some of our training, particularly Study Day 1, is provided throughout the UK by our network of Licensed trainers. We have 33 trainers in 25 locations throughout England, Scotland and Wales. All of them present our introductory Study Day for nurses – Study Day 1 - which includes irrigation, and some provide our Treatments Study Day – Day 2. Some also include the Basic Awareness for Healthcare Assistants and Assistant Practitioners Study Day in their portfolio. Most recently several of our trainers are now able to provide our 2-day Healthcare Assistants' Course which includes the theory of irrigation. Below you will find a list of all our trainers with, in most cases, their contact details. If you would like one of them to provide a training session for you please contact them directly - or contact us where no details are given and we will put you in touch. Some of the trainers are willing to cover areas where there is no resident trainer so don't be put off if you do not see your own locality listed.
